Memorandum of Cooperation

Today the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the Mercy and Health Charity Foundation signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership.

The document was signed by the President of NAMS of Ukraine, academician Vasyl Lazoryshynets, and the chairman of the board of the Mercy and Health Charity Foundation, Oleksandr Yatsyna.

The Memorandum aims to consolidate scientific, medical, humanitarian, and organizational capacities to implement joint initiatives in healthcare, medical science, education, and charitable activities.

Within the cooperation, the parties plan to implement joint educational, scientific-practical, and humanitarian projects aimed at developing Ukraine’s healthcare system, supporting healthcare workers, assisting vulnerable populations, and strengthening citizens’ access to quality medical care.

Key areas of interaction include holding scientific conferences, trainings, symposiums and educational programs, developing telemedicine and simulation platforms, and implementing public health, psychological and psychosocial support projects.

The Memorandum also provides for cooperation in mobilizing humanitarian and charitable aid, international grant programs, medical equipment, medicines, and supporting joint international initiatives.

The signing of the document is an important step in developing partnership between the scientific medical community and the charitable sector to strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s healthcare system in the face of current challenges.
