Support for People with Disabilities

People with disabilities in Ukraine face barriers every day that are difficult for an able-bodied person to even imagine. The lack of accessible transportation, the inability to get to a doctor or a rehabilitation center on their own, or even to simply leave the house—this is the reality that thousands of Ukrainians live with. During the war, these challenges have intensified many times over: destroyed infrastructure, forced displacement, and new injuries—all of this increases the number of people who need special support.

Together with our partners, we’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Over the course of the project, we have donated 15 vehicles specially equipped to transport people with disabilities—complete with ramps, wheelchair restraints, and everything necessary for safe and comfortable travel.

In addition to the vehicles, we have provided more than 500 manual and electric wheelchairs to people who have lost the ability to move independently—due to illness, injury, or trauma.
