Water for Life

The “Mercy and Health” Foundation has been operating in the Donetsk region since the very first days of the full-scale invasion. One focus of this work is restoring water supply to civilians who have remained in or near the combat zone.
In Kramatorsk, the foundation has drilled and equipped five wells in various parts of the city. Two of them provide drinking water to the population, while three supply process water to heat distribution networks. Water taps have been installed in densely populated neighborhoods so that residents can collect water right next to their homes. Each well has a capacity of 3 cubic meters. Some of them ensure the self-sufficiency of boiler rooms that supply heat to certain areas of the city.
In Svyatogorsk, two additional wells were drilled and equipped, providing drinking water to the city’s residents.
In total, the foundation has completed seven wells in the Donetsk region—and this work continues.
